The Pierre Governor softball team will be on the road today to start the final week of the regular season as the Govs face the Tea Titans for the second time this year.
The two teams are right next to each other in the standings with Tea in 11th and Pierre in 12th as the Govs will look to split the season series against the Titans after a 7-5 loss back on May 2nd in Sioux Falls. Just over two weeks later, the 4-10 Titans will host the Governors as both teams will play one more game before the SoDak 16 a week from today. Tea has won two of the last five while the Governors have lost nine of the last 10 and are 5-12 on the year. Currently, Pierre is scheduled to face Brandon Valley in the SoDak 16, but things could change with two wins this week starting today. Pierre will host Harrisburg on Thursday for senior day to close out the season.
First pitch is at 4:00 in Tea.
