The Pierre Governor golf team would finish in 11th place as a team on Friday at Lake View Golf Course in Mitchell as Sittie Kasan would lead the team for Pierre.
Kasan would shoot 19 over par, 91 to finish tied for 41st on the day. Hadley Hart would be at 25 over par, 97 tying for 56th and Taylor Crawford at 26 over par, 98 one shot back of Hart. Drew Rechtenbaugh would round out the scoring for Pierre at 101 while Ava Gray would shoot a 110 and Charlotte Brakke a 111 for the six Governors. Aberdeen Central’s Emma Dohrer would hold off four different players to win the individual score breaking even at 72. Olivia Braun of Aberdeen Central, Vanessa Smith of Brandon Valley, Erin Hurd of O’Gorman and Gabi Olson of Watertown would be one shot back at 73 each.
Pierre would finish at 99 over par in 11th place as a team, 22 shots behind Tea for tenth. Aberdeen Central was nine over par to win the team score, 10 shots better than host Mitchell and 22 shots better than Brandon Valley in third.
Pierre will head to Watertown Tuesday at the Cattail Golf Course, the site of the Class AA state tournament. Tee time is at 10:00 AM.
