PIERRE, (KCCR) — A list of of satellite voting locations has been released by county auditors across the state. A link has been established by the South Dakota Secretary of State’s office showing most of the locations. The remote locations will allow expanded access to absentee voting locations. In central South Dakota the satellite locations are in Buffalo, Jackson, Lyman and Todd Counties. The Buffalo County location is in Fort Thompson at the Technological Building on Samboy Drive. It will be open from 10 am to four pm on May 13th, 15th, and 22nd. The Jackson County location is at the Wanblee Lakota Chapel in Wanblee. It will be available from 10 am to noon and one-pm to five-pm Mountain Time Monday through Friday. Lyman County’s satellite absentee vote location is at the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe Headquarters in Lower Brule. The hours are Monday through Friday from nine-am to five-pm Mountain Time. The Todd County Building in Mission will host a location with hours from nine-am to three pm Monday through Friday. The Lyman, Buffalo and Jackson locations will be closed May 25th for Memorial Day.
