For only the second time this season, the Pierre Governor golf team would have a full squad with six girls competing and the Governors would finish in ninth place as a team.
Hadley Hart would finish in 18th to lead the Governors for the afternoon at 17 over par, 89 six shots back of a top ten finish as Sittie Kasan would be 22nd at 21 over par 93. Taylor Crawford would be third on team at 98 as Drew Rechtenbaugh finished at 106. Charlotte Brakke would be at 108 and Ava Gray at 114. As a team Pierre would shoot 98 over par tying Harrisburg for ninth and within 11 shots of sixth place. Mitchell would win the team score, edging out Aberdeen Central by three shots. Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun would win the individual score by seven shots over Mitchell’s Londyn Hajek and O’Gorman’s Ari Jacobs as Braun was four under par, 68 with three birdies and an eagle.
Pierre will head to Mitchell next week Friday for its lone event of the week.
