PIERRE, (KCCR) — With the pending retirement of long-time Oahe Child Development Director Sue Glodt ahead, the organization announced a new leadership team to take over in June. Bill Kaiser will become Oahe Child Development’s new Director. Kaiser has 31 years of background in education, serving families, students and staff. He spent 15 years as a teacher, coach and Special Education Director in Winner. He’s also previously served as Principal at Jefferson Elementary in Pierre for 15 years and is coming from Crow Creek Tribal School as an elementary principal and Special Education director. Terri Mehlhaff will become Oahe Child Development’s new Program Administrator. Mehlhaff has degrees in childhood special education and elementary education from Black Hills State. Melhaff has a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and a specialist degree in pre-K to 12th grade administration. Both are looking forward to their new opportunities with the Center.
