It’s the time of the year for the biggest regular season event for track and field as the Howard Wood Dakota Relays will take place in Sioux Falls over the next two days with teams from all over South Dakota and surrounding states competing.
There are limited entries for the Howard Wood meet so not every athlete will be able to compete in Sioux Falls this weekend, but it highlights some of the best athletes in the state also competing against some of the best competition across other states of North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska. Local teams will be there including the Pierre Governors who will have its lone competitions this weekend. Pierre will also be a part of the O’Gorman Invite on Friday with those not competing at Howard Wood getting a chance to compete still this week, after the Miller Booster Club Relays were canceled.
