After a 6-1 game five win, the Muskegon Lumberjacks are into the Eastern Conference Finals and will host the sixth seeded Madison Capitols which begins this weekend.
Carter Sanderson, Pierre native and captain of the Muskegon Lumberjacks, returned to the lineup on Tuesday for game five and made an instant impact scoring a goal and having an assist in the five goal win as he was named the number one star for the night. Sanderson has two goals and an assist for the Lumberjacks in five games played in the playoffs. It’s the third straight season for the Lumberjacks to reach the conference finals and second straight year for Sanderson. The fifth seeded Lumberjacks will host games one and two of the series against the sixth seed Capitols who are 5-1 in the playoffs so far.
