The Pierre Governor softball team will be on the road today looking for its third straight win as they face the 3-0 Stevens Raiders before making a trip to Sioux Falls this weekend.
The Governors have beaten Spearfish and Aberdeen Central last Friday and this past Tuesday to move to 4-2 on the season and today will be looking to knock off Stevens for the first time this year. The Raiders are 3-0 but have two wins over Spearfish and a win over Sturgis. Stevens beat Spearfish 16-5 and 9-6 in the two wins with Pierre beating the Spartans 15-7. The Govs and Sturgis have yet to play after the game was postponed last weekend. Pierre will get O’Gorman and Tea on Saturday in Sioux Falls to make four games in one week for the Govs who had just five games in total played prior to the week.
First pitch is at 5:30 today at the Parkview Softball Complex in Rapid City.
