Nearly a week after the original date of the Bob Judson invite, the Pierre Governors would host its first event of the season and would finish with 18 wins on the afternoon.
Pierre hosted a total of ten teams which included locally, Sully Buttes, Stanley County, Lyman, Gettysburg, Highmore-Harrold and Hoven.
Pierre
For the 18 wins for the Govs, six of the wins came for the girls which included Emyln Swanson in the 400 meters, Emery Larson in the 800 meters, Rayya Hofer in the javelin and Peyton Dillman in the triple jump. The team of Elliot Bertsch, Ellen Hart, Zoey Bauer and Josephine Wurtz won the 4×100 relay and the team of Zoey and Ally Bauer, Reed Curry and Wurtz won the 4×400 relay. For the Governor boys, Caleb Morris would win the 800 and 1600 meter runs with Karson Walti winning the 100 meters and Camden Lamb winning the 3200 meter run. Corde Austin won three events with the high jump, long jump and triple jump while Lincoln Dilges won both hurdles at 110 and 300 meters. Three relay teams also won for the Govs as Jerren Deal, George Rapp, Cooper Terwilliger and Walti won the 4×100, Will Danburg, Terwilliger, Austin and Dilges won the 4×200 and then Rapp, Deal, Dilges and Carter Schiefelbein won the 4×400. Overall Pierre had 135 top ten finishes.
Sully Buttes
For the Sully Buttes Chargers, Jaycee Jaeger was fifth in the triple jump and ninth in the long jump while Hudson Barber and Kadyn Westergren had the best finish for any Charger as Barber was second in the triple jump and Westergren was second in the shot put. Bretton Barber was fourth in the triple jump while Jett Yackley was also fourth in the javelin. The Chargers had 19 top ten finishes overall.
Stanley County
Jace Hand would get the lone win for the Stanley County Buffaloes with a 147-04 in the javelin as the Buffs had 20 top ten finishes overall. The team of Austyn Norman, Addy Deal, Brylee Larson and Brianna Sargent would place secnd in the 4×200 and then third in the 4×100. Paxton Deal, Landon Bame, Carson Bourne and Eddie Duffy would be third in the 4×100 relay and then Bame, Deal, Bourne and Justin Trebbe would be fourth in the 4×400.
Lyman
Brooke Montgomery would get three wins for the Lyman Raiders in Pierre with a win in the long jump, 100 and 200 meters as the Raiders had 23 top ten finishes. Montgomery along with Bree Smart, Miley Erikson and Kenzie Wagner would get second in the sprint medley relay while Chloe Collins would get third in the 100 meter hurdles. For the Lyman boys, Cole Kieffer was third in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles and also third in the high jump. Kieffer, with Benjamin Herman, Chace Seaboy and Jesse Bower would get fourth in the 4×200 relay.
Gettysburg
The Gettysburg Battlers would garner a win with Megan Seurer, Finlee Heien, Beth Seurer and Emma Schlachter winning the 4×200 relay. Heien, Schlachter and Paige and Jadyn Ahlemeier would get second in the 4×400 relay. Layla Cronin was second in the 1600 meters and Schlachter third in the 800 meters. The Gettysburg boys had a fourth place finish from Raul Gautier while Lukas Fersch, Jackson Simon, Michael Jager and Ayden Forgey was fourth in the 4×100 relay. Gettysburg had a total of 22 top ten finishes.
Highmore-Harrold
The Highmore-Harrold Pirates had two wins with Autumn Fallis winning the 1600 meters and then teaming up with Delia Ginsbach, Jaylynn Knox and Mireya LeBeaux in the 4×800. Whitley Baloun was second in the 400 meters and Jaylee Fallis, Ginbach, Baloun and Emma Salathe were third in the 4×200 relay. Jaylee Fallis, Salathe, LeBeaux and Knox were third in the sprint medley relay race. Destiny McCauley was third in the javelin. Highmore-Harrold had 14 top ten finishes with all 14 coming from the Pirate girls.
Hoven
Dannika Kaup for the Hoven Greyhounds had four top five finishes with two wins as she won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles while also getting second in the 200 meters and fourth in the 100 meters.
