It’s just the second scheduled event for the Pierre Governor tennis team as the Govs will travel to Huron to face both the Tigers and Watertown Arrows in a triangular on Saturday.
So far the Govs are 1-3 on the season which started two weeks ago when the Govs lost to Rapid City Christian, St. Thomas More and Stevens, but beat Rapid City Central. After the Easter holiday, the Govs did not have anything scheduled until this weekend and likely wouldn’t have competed if it was scheduled for the beginning of the week. Huron is playing for its third time in four days after starting the season on Wednesday against Brookings at home and then in Mitchell on Thursday. Watertown also started its season on Thursday facing both Lincoln and Aberdeen Central in Sioux Falls. It’s the first of two times competing in Huron in three days. On Monday, the Govs will face Sioux Falls Christian and Harrisburg in a quad, but won’t play Huron again.
The day begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the Huron Tennis Courts.
