After Tuesday’s home meet was postponed, the Pierre Governor track and field team will be on the road to Huron today for the first outdoor event of the season.
It’s the first opportunity for the Govs to be outside this season and will also see five other AA teams including host Huron, Aberdeen Central, Brookings, Mitchell and Yankton. Pierre still has three events to host this season with the Bob Judson invite now rescheduled for Monday this upcoming week. However, it’s now going to be near two weeks between the Govs first competition and today’s event. As long as weather cooperates, the Govs will start to see more frequent competitions. Miller will also be a part of the Huron Invite and it will also be the first outdoor event of the season for the Rustlers who competed on Monday indoors in Brookings.
The field events begin at 2:00 with the track events to start at 3:30 at Tiger Stadium in Huron.
