Pierre native and Augstuana’s Luke Olson would finish inside the top 20 at the Augustana Spring Golf Invite on Monday, the final meet of the season before the conference championships next weekend.
Hosting the event, Augustana was able to have two teams compete with an A and B team. Olson, on the B team, was the best finisher through the 36 hole event as he was the fourth best Viking on the entire day between the A and B teams tying for 16th overall. He would beat out two Augustana A team members. Olson finished eight over par through the 36 hole competition. Olson would birdie two holes in each round shooting just two over par in round one and then just six over par in round two. Olson is closing in on wrapping up his freshman year at Augustana and he competed in five events throughout the fall and spring.
Augustana will have the NSIC conference championships Friday-Sunday April 17-19 at Blue Springs, Missouri. You can see the results from Monday’s rounds below.
