Both Mak and Jordyn Scott of the Lyman Raiders were selected to the first team All-State for Class B as Mak becomes a three time All-State member and second straight first team selection.
The Scotts were able to help lead the Raiders to the state tournament and were the number one seed in the Class B state tournament, taking home sixth this season. Mak, a senior scored 15.2 points per game and had 9.5 rebounds a game while Jordyn, a sophomore, led the team in scoring at 18.3 points a game with 3.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. They’re joined on the first team by Class B player of the year Jaelyn Huntimer of Arlington, Brynlee Landis of Colman-Egan, Peyson O’Neill of Bennett County and Izzie Eide of Centerville.
Jada Baloun of Highmore-Harrold is the other Central South Dakota player on the All-State list. The sophomore is on the third team leading the Pirates in scoring with 17.2 points per game while grabbing 8.5 rebounds a game and had 42 blocks. Lyman, Ethan, Bennett County and Chester had the state high two players reach the All-State teams including honorable mention.
