The bigs of the Castlewood Warriors would give the Lyman Raiders fits on Friday in a 56-28 loss in the Class B state semifinal in Aberdeen.
The Raiders shot just 23% from the field on the night which included only scoring 13 points at the half although the defense of Lyman held Castlewood to only 18 first half points. However, the Raiders couldn’t hold the Warriors down the entire night, a 20-7 third quarter started to build the lead out and continued to add on from there as the Raiders could only get 28 points in total in the loss. Kamden Keszler had a game high 22 points while Will Aderhold had 11 and Brody Bass had 10 for three in double figures. Cole Kieffer had 10 points and still pulled down a game high seven boards, but just not enough offense from Lyman as the eight seed will play for third place on Saturday.
The Raiders will see the Wall Eagles in the third place game while seconded seeded Freeman will meet Castlewood for the Class B state title Saturday night. Tip off is at 5:00 Saturday night from the Barnett Center in Aberdeen.
