PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is opening up March with its first meeting of the month tonight. It looks to be a very short meeting as the agenda is extremely light with items for action. Commissioners will consider approval of a very light consent calendar. The calendar consists of only approval of meeting minutes from the February 24th meeting, claims approval and a raffle request filed by the Sixth Circuit Court Appointed Special Advocates or Sixth Circuit CASA. There are two items of unfinished business. They include consideration of a plat change and replatting of lots in the Wells Second Addition and a public hearing at 5:45 pm for an Airport Industrial Park lease. The only item of new business for the Commission is consideration of seven special event temporary alcohol licenses filed by Larkspur Landing event center. The events will be held March 7th and 13th; April 25th; May 23rd; June 13th and 20th and July 11th. Commissioners will closeout the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building at 5:30 pm.
