The Stanley County Buffaloes all will be in the consolation bracket on Friday but all will be competing still for third place.
Starting with the Lady Buffaloes, Timber Hanson had the lone win for the Buffs throughout the day as she started out with a pin in the first period of her first match. She would take on Shaylee Speck of Pierre in the quarterfinals of the 100 but would fall to Speck in a fall. Londyn Allen-Hunsiker and Gracie Rutherford both lost their first round matches and will start Friday morning wrestling to keep their state tournaments alive.
For the Buffalo boys, all five would lose in the first round as Witt Myers had the biggest heart break of the first round losing in overtime, 8-5 in sudden victory. Landon Bame, Sayth Cronin and Wyatt Schilling all would be pinned with Jeff Knight falling in a major decision.
