(Eureka, SD) – Sully Buttes boys basketball will concluded the regular season this Friday against the North Central Thunder in Eureka. Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m. CST. Country 95.3 will have coverage Friday night.
Sully Buttes are 14-5 on the regular season and are winners of two straight. Their last outing was a 53-37 win against Faulkton Area. North Central sits 10-9 on the regular season and are also winners of two straight defeating McLaughlin 72-65.
The two teams will be meeting for the 27th time since 2006 and it’s been all Sully Buttes since 2015 having won the last 12. The Chargers are 24-2 since 2006. The last contest was a 65-34 win for Sully Buttes while North Central will look for their first win since 2014 where they won 63-55.
For Region 6B play, this game will not see many changes in the standings. The Chargers still have a significant lead with seed points and will likely be the one seed going into the 6B tournament hosting their first game on Tuesday. North Central can’t jump Faulkton Area, but will look to hold their spot at five. If that is the case, they will be in Faulkton for their first game in Region 6B. However a win for Sully Buttes will help them get a favorable SODAK 16 game if they qualify for the SODAK 16. A loss could drop them significantly.
Tip-off is set for 7:45 p.m. CST. Wyatt Burichka will have the call on Country 95.3 F.M. and online at Country 95.3 Sports on YouTube.
