PIERRE, (KCCR) — The second and final year of the Euclid Avenue Reconstruction project is gearing up to begin in just a few weeks. The South Dakota Department of Transportation City of Pierre and prime contractor Morris Incorporated are hosting a public informational meeting on the second year of the project Thursday night at six pm at Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre. The meeting is designed to allow the public to ask questions about the second year of the project. A short presentation will detail the phases for year two. Like last year, regular weekly meeting will be held to give continual updates. Euclid Avenue from Wyonka to Elizabeth will be in a full closure from early March to Late July. Wynoka will be local traffic from early March to Late May. Northbound Euclid from Elizabeth to 4th Street will be done from mid-June to Early August. Southbound Euclid from Elizabeth to 4th will be done from mid-July to Late November. Euclid north from 4th to the entrance to Pierre will be done from early-March to mid-June and the southbound part of Euclid from 4th to the end of the project will be done from mid-July to late November. Head-to-head, two-way traffic will remain during the project from Elizabeth north.
