PIERRE, (KCCR) — A bill to provide a steady stream of funding to keep South Dakota horse racing alive has cleared one of it’s last legislative obstacle, the South Dakota Senate. House Bill 1058 would require online pari-mutuel wagering pools for horse and dog racing to be licensed and the license fees to be deposited in two existing, dedicated funds. House Bill 1058 cleared the Senate 29-five. It’s final step is consideration and possible approval by Governor Larry Rhoden.
