PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is meeting tonight at the District Administration Building on Poplar Avenue. The Board will consider approval of the consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with an update from the Riggs Student Senate. Board members will hear an update on the Teammates Mentoring Program with Kim Leiferman and will recognize Jefferson Elementary teacher Amber Stout for receiving a Teaching America 250 grant. Superintendent Glodt will give the Board a District update and the Board will consider approval of the legal calendar for the 2026-27 school year. Other agenda items for the Pierre School Board include approval of the Georgia Morse Middle School improvement plan, the approval of an administrative rule waiver and consideration of donations contract, items and resignations and retirements. The Board is also scheduled to meet in executive session to prepare for contract negotiations. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
