The Stanley County Buffaloes will be in Mission tonight for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader as the Buffs face the Todd County Falcons.
After picking up the first win of the season last Thursday, the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will be looking for back-to-back wins tonight against a team who is currently at 3-12 on the year having lost back-to-back games. Todd County has two of its three wins over Crow Creek, who the Lady Buffs beat last Thursday. The Falcons other win is against McLaughlin back in mid January. The Falcons have lost five of the last six overall. Stanley County will host Bennett County on Thursday as the last quarter of the season begins tonight.
It’s the first of two games this week for the Buffalo boys as they will also face Chamberlain in a single game on Thursday on the road. Stanley County is 12-2 after the win over Wolsey Wessington. Todd County is 6-7 heading into tonight. Stanley County has six games remaining with currently three of those teams below .500 but another two that are at .500 or one game above the mark so seed points won’t be as much as the season winds down, but the Buffs need to rack up the wins to keep up with the top of the Class A standings. The Buffs are 13th in all of Class A heading into tonight.
Tip off of the girls game will be around 6:30 with the boys game to follow at Todd County High School in Mission.
