The Oahe Lady Capitals would go 3-0 on the weekend finishing the sweep on Sunday and also sweeping the season series with Sioux Center on a 7-2 win on the road.
Oahe would get the first goal of the game from Mallory Lehrkamp before Sioux Center tied the game 12 seconds later. Addison Hunsley would put the Caps up for good with a goal a minute later to lead 2-1 after the first period. Emily Nemec would make it 3-1 quickly in the second period, just 32 seconds in as Micah Buffalo scored twice and Dakota McEntaffer made it 6-1 after two periods of play. Sioux Center would make it 6-2 with a 5-on-3 power play goal from Brooklyn Byl who had three of the four Sioux Center goals this weekend, but Reagan Emme would get her first career varsity goal to finish off the win 7-2. Taylah Allerdings picked up her third straight win with 15 saves on 17 shots.
Oahe is now 13-4 on the season and has officially clinched at least the three seed for the state tournament. The Lady Capitals will host Aberdeen on Pink the Rink, Saturday, February 7 with a 12:00 puck drop. Coverage will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports.
