Governor Boys Grab Les Tlustos Team Win

The Pierre Governor boys wrestling team would win the Brookings wrestling Invite on Saturday scoring a total of 236.5 points, outscoring second place Rapid City Central by 45.5 points.

The Governors had four individual champions on Saturday with Gable Uhrig, Rowdy Menning, Alex Oedekoven and Porter Hunsley taking home first place in their respective weight class. Jordan Schafer and Walker West also made the championship match getting second while Daniel Mason and Will Eilers each won their third place match. 12 of the 14 Governors placed on the afternoon in Brookings. Pierre had at least 100 points more than each team from fifth place on with Lincoln and Yankton still over 70 points back of the Governors.
