FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. The Council will hear reports from city officials before tackling a lighter agenda. The Council will consider approval of a combined election agreement with Stanley County now that Fort Pierre is moving it’s municipal elections to June from April. Council members will give consideration to two authorizations to advertise for bids two summer projects. One is for bids on projects on Benjamin, Ninth and Yellowstone streets and the second is for 2026 curb and cutter work. The Council will also consider request to purchase a new pickup truck for the Parks Department and set a meeting of the Local Review Board for March 16th at 5:30 pm. Other agenda items for the Fort Pierre City Council include approval of 2026 dray, electrical and plumbing licenses and authorization to sign an electricity license agreement for Implementation and Use of Camera Technology. The Fort Pierre City Council meets at six pm, the meeting is open to the community.
