The Pierre Governor girls basketball team is finally back at home for the first time since January 10 when they host Harrisburg, as the Governors take on the O’Gorman Lady Knights tonight.
The Governors continue its stretch of facing some of the top teams in Class AA. As Friday begins, the Governors finish the three game stretch with Brandon Valley at number one, Aberdeen Central at number three and O’Gorman at number two. On top of that, other than the Douglas game back on the 20th, the Govs have will have played the top four teams in the last five games which includes the Washington Warriors. The Lady Knights have won nine straight at 9-1 with the only loss to Brandon Valley, 63-54 to open the season. The Govs have dropped six of the last seven and are 3-7 on the year as tonight begins the second half of the season for the Govs. It’s also the lone game of the weekend for Pierre.
