The Oahe Lady Capitals will be on the road this weekend as the Caps will play three games with one in Mitchell and a pair of games in Sioux Center looking to sweep the season series of both.
Oahe will open the weekend at Mitchell facing the Marlins having won two games against the Marlins winning 2-1 to open the season in Mitchell and 7-4 at home back in late December. The Caps are 10-4 on the year and trying to solidify themselves in a top three spot in the standings and with three wins this weekend, they can certainly help the cause with then only having four games left to go in the season. Mitchell is coming in at 5-10 but with a logjam from 4-7 they currently sit in sixth, just one point behind fourth place, but also tied in points with fifth and seventh so wins are becoming very important to get gain a higher seed.
Then on Saturday and Sunday, the Caps face another team in the logjam, taking on Sioux Center for two games. Oahe beat the Storm back on Friday, December 12 4-1. Sioux Center is 5-8 on the year and has played the least amount of games along with Sioux Falls heading into the weekend which is why they currently sit in fifth. The Storm still have Mitchell and Watertown another time as the 4-7 spots could come down to the final weekend.
Oahe will have puck drop at 6:00 in Mitchell on Friday with puck drop at 5:00 and 12:00 on Saturday and Sunday in Sioux Center. All three games will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports with Jon Winkler on the call.
