(Hitchcock, SD) – Sully Buttes basketball returns to the court Thursday making a newly common road trip for their contest against Hitchcock-Tulare. The Girls tip-off at 6:30 with the boys to follow. Country 95.3 will have the coverage.
The Sully Buttes girls enter Thursday’s game at 2-10 on the season after picking up their second win last Thursday against Stanley County 48-32. The Chargers will look to continue those winning ways against the Lady Patriots who enter at 5-7 after a 62-48 against Redfield.
Sully Buttes and Hitchcock-Tulare will meet for the 16th time since 2013. The Chargers lead with 13 wins to just two losses. They have won the last four meetings since 2022. The last time the two team met, it was final of 42-33 for Sully Buttes. The Lady Patriots last win was January 28, 2021 winning 43-40 where they would win back to back games in 2020 and 2021.
Sully Buttes boys are currently 8-3 on the season with their last contest being a win over Stanley County 69-63. The Chargers are currently on a one game winning streak. The Patriots enter Thursday after an 84-50 win against Redfield and are 3-8 on the season.
The Chargers have had the upper hand against the Patriots heading into their 16th game since 2006. Sully Buttes are 12-7 against Hitchcock-Tulare. The Chargers did win the last meeting 68-47 which snapped a two game losing streak. The series has been a series of winning and losing streaks between the two teams.
