PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is closing out January with their weekly meeting tonight. Only five action items make up the bulk of the agenda. Commissioners will consider approval of a six item consent calendar. On the calendar are approval of minutes and claims, a raffle request filed by the American Legion for Post Eight Baseball and setting three public hearings. Public hearings for the Downs Marina Lease and an airport lease for rental car service will be set for February 10th with a public hearing for a farmland lease agreement set for February 17th. In unfinished business, Commissioners will consider approval of bids for the 2026 street paving project and a joint powers agreement for the Transportation Alternative Program for the Causeway sidewalk project. In new business, Commissioners will hear a report from Rawlins Library give introduction to a plat change and will select a bridge inspection engineer. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building at 5:30 pm.
