With Friday’s boy’s game against Gettysburg postponed because of schools being canceled, both teams can turn the attention to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte on Saturday for Hall of Fame night.
The Buffs are coming in after a 39 point win over Jones County on Tuesday to remain with just one loss on the season at now 9-1 on the year and Saturday will be a big test for the Buffs as it will be 1 vs. 2 in Region 6A when the Braves come to town for a girls and boys doubleheader for Hall of Fame night. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte is 8-1 on the year and currently the top seed in 6A. A win can go along way into a top seed in the Region tournament and a higher seed for the SoDak 16. Cheyenne-Eagle Butte is currently seventh in the state while the Buffs are sitting in 13th. The girls will play first to start the day with the Braves at 7-4 on the season. Stanley County is still looking for its first win after falling to Sully Buttes on Thursday.
Between games, Stanley County will induct both Jason Bucholz and Bernie Duffy into the Hall of Fame. You can click below to read bios of both gentlemen. Tip off of the girls game will be at 4:30 with the boys game to follow at the Parkview Auditorium in Fort Pierre.
