The Pierre governor basketball teams get right back to the court tonight as the Governors take on Brandon Valley with the girls making a second straight road trip with the boys on the road.
The Governor girls had an extended bus trip playing in mountain time and starting an hour later than normal. The Lynx are coming in at 8-0 also not playing on Tuesday with the last win against Harrisburg on Thursday winning 53-43. Brandon Valley is the highest scoring Class AA team at nearly 69 points per game. They also average only 39 points against which is third best in AA. The Governors stopped a four game losing streak behind 20 points from Molly Olson on Tuesday and another 16 from Emery Larson.
The Governor boys team will also look for a second straight win facing Brandon Valley. The Govs stopped a five game losing streak behind Corde Austin’s 30 point night. The Lynx are coming in at 3-5 falling to Harrisburg by just three 46-43 on last Thursday.
