The Stanley County Buffaloes would make the trip to Murdo with the boys playing the fourth straight game in Murdo as the girls would lose 47-31 while the boys would get the 71-32 win.
In the girls game, the Lady Buffaloes kept things close through the first three quarters as the Lady Buffs trailed 31-28 heading into the final frame. However, Stanley County would get just three points in the fourth and Jones County wound up with a double digit win. Addy Deal would have 15 points to lead Stanley County while Kynzi Hall had 10 as the Lady Buffs fall to 0-11 on the season. Aubrey Tucker had the game high 19 points to lead Jones County who played just its seventh game of the season and improved to 4-3 on the year.
In the boys game, Stanley County would run out to a 39 point victory enabling the running clock in the second half to win for the third time in four games in Murdo and now are 9-1 on the season. 11 different players scored with 16 from Paxton Deal and 10 from Jack Deal to lead the Buffs. Eddie Duffy finished with nine. Bryer Kinsley had 20 points for Jones County, but didn’t have much scoring help. Jones County falls to 5-6.
Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will travel to Onida for a standalone game on Thursday with the game being on Country 95.3 and on YouTube at Country 95.3 Sports with Wyatt Burichka on the call.
