The Oahe Lady Capitals will look to try and keep pace with the other top two teams hosting the Rushmore Thunder Saturday and one of the two teams in Sioux Falls on Sunday.
Oahe will look for the season sweep of the Thunder to start the weekend having won the first two games 8-4 and 5-1. The Caps have already swept the Watertown Lakers in the season series and will look to add the Thunder to the list of teams they’ve swept. Rushmore comes in at 4-10-0-1 with an overtime loss on Sunday to Mitchell and have dropped now five straight overall since winning three in a row in mid December. Rushmore is currently seventh in the standings. Oahe is currently 9-3
On Sunday, the Caps will face the 10-1 Sioux Falls Flyers. Sioux Falls beat Oahe 9-1 on Saturday, December 13 and has won three straight heading into the weekend where they will face Aberdeen on Sunday. The Flyers are 10-1 with the only loss of the season coming against the Brookings Rangers in Brookings, but are 1-1 overall against the Rangers. Oahe has two games left against the Flyers, both at home.
