The Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will get the toughest challenge to date and probably the whole season as undefeated Lyman comes to Fort Pierre tonight in a standalone girls game.
Lyman is currently 6-0 and in third place in the Class B standings, but the Raiders most impressive win was the 60-52 victory over the AA Mitchell Kernels. Lyman beat Kadoka Area by 20 on Tuesday and heading into tonight, the only common opponent between the two teams is Gettysburg which the Raiders beat by 29 to open the season while the Lady Buffs fell by four on Tuesday, this week. As dominant as the Raiders have been this season, Lyman has just one senior with Mak Scott and everyone else remains a junior or younger. Stanley County will hit the halfway point of the season after tonight as they currently sit at 0-9. It’s a standalone girls game with the boys playing at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Jones County Invitational.
Tip off of the varsity game is scheduled for around 7:45 tonight in Fort Pierre.
