(Onida, SD) – Sully Buttes Basketball would come out of the gate running in a 79-37 win over Highmore-Harrold on Thursday night. The Chargers moved to 5-0 on the season and continue a home winning streak dating back to last season.
The Chargers would shoot lights out in the first quarter shooting over 60% from the field and three point land. Sully Buttes scored 25 in the first quarter holding the Pirates to just 10 and outscoring them 45-22 in one half of play. The Chargers, outscored the Pirates in the second half 34-15 to take a 79-37 win.
Sully Buttes use their speed and capitalizing on turnovers to help secure a big win heading into Saturday against Sioux Valley. The Chargers, shot 48% from the field and nearly 40% from three point land. The Chargers had four in double digit scoring lead by Wesley Wittler (25 points), Easton Moore (21 points), Jett Yackley (14 points, and Gavin Colson (10 points).
