(Onida, SD) – Sully Buttes Boys’ basketball returns to the home court on Thursday to battle the Pirates of Highmore Harrold. The Chargers are 4-0 on the season with their last contest on December 30 when they defeated Phillip 70-46 in their lone road game of the season. The Pirates enter Thursday with an 0-5 record coming off a loss to Stanley County.
Sully Buttes are 4-0 at home this season outscoring opponents 199-163. They sit number four in the entire Class B standings and first in 6B. The closet contest was the first game of the season defeated Lyman 67-61. Highmore-Harrold has been on the road three times this season losing all three games.
Sully Buttes have overwhelmingly control the series against the Pirates dating back to 2006. The Chargers won 18 in a row before going on a three game losing streak from January 5, 2023 till January 4, 2024. The Chargers broke that three game skid just a little over a year later winning 71-46. The series favors Sully Buttes 19 wins to three losses.
