(Phillip, SD) – Sully Buttes basketball returns to action after Christmas with a trip to Phillip for a double header Tuesday night. This will be the final contest before going into the 2026 portion of their season.
The girls will be seeking their first win in five attempts this season after an 0-4 start before Christmas. The Chargers last contest was against Wolsey-Wessington where they would fall 55-34. The series against the Scotties has been very one sided until last season. Sully Buttes won the first 14 meetings before losing last season 58-37. While they look for a win to get into the win column, the Chargers will also make sure the series doesn’t go the wrong way.
The Sully Buttes boys head into their contest undefeated at 3-0 after winning their first three games of the season at home. They won 63-49 against the Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds in their last contest. It will be the first road trip of the season for the Chargers and will look to move to 4-0. Their opponent the Scotties will be seeking their first win of the year starting 0-4 falling to Faith 51-48 in their last meeting. The Chargers will look for their second consecutive win against the Scotties after winning 69-53 last season.
