The Oahe Lady Capitals would score 13 goals in two games over the weekend as the Caps knocked off Watertown 6-2 and then beat Mitchell 7-4 on Sunday at home.
The Caps trailed in both games being scored on first, but on Saturday, the deficit lasted six seconds. Emily Nemec and Addison Hunsley each scored in the third to seal the win over the Lakers as the Caps put themselves into third place in the standings. Kylee Fromm made 22 of 24 saves.
On Sunday, Oahe went down 1-0 again but got two Micah Buffalo goals to lead 2-1 after one as both goals were deflections by Buffalo to score. Taylor Sorben would get a hat trick for the Marlins scoring three second period goals, even strength, a penalty shot and a short handed goal but Aubrey Stewart and McEntaffer each scored to tie it at 4-4 through two periods. In the third, McEntaffer would score her second of the game with 4:42 remaining to take the lead before Hunsley added a goal 11 seconds later and Stewart would hit the empty net with 14 seconds remaining to improve the Capitals to 6-2 on the season. Taylah Allerdings stopped all 12 shots in the third period coming in in relief to get her first varsity win.
