Sully Buttes Basketball is back in action Tuesday night at home hosting Lyman. The girls will look to secure their first win of the season after falling in their season opener against North Central. The boys begin their 2025-26 campaign.
For the girls, they are looking to win their first game against Lyman since 2023. The Raiders have won the last two meeting against Sully Buttes. The Chargers will have tough task with the Scott sisters who combined for 44 points in their win against Gettysburg last weekend. Sully Buttes did have a great night shooting from three point land making six threes on Friday. The series has favored the Chargers the since 2006 with the Chargers winning nine of the thirteen games.
The boys open up the season against Lyman. A team the Chargers have won the last two meetings against. But it was the Raiders who made it further last season making the state tournament while Sully Buttes fell in the SoDak 16. The Chargers finished 17-5 last season and will have three seniors this season with Wesley Wittler, Gavin Colson, and James Miles. Sully Buttes has the series advantage since 2005. The Chargers are 15-6 against Lyman.
