The Oahe Lady Capitals had a tough first ten minutes of the hockey game on Saturday in the 9-1 loss to the Sioux Falls Flyers in Sioux Falls as the Caps fall for the second time this season.
Sioux Falls would score 31 seconds and then a minute and a second into the game to lead 2-0 quickly. Two power play goals and a couple of even strength goals would make it 6-0 with still five and a half minutes left in the first period and run time would begin. Kiersten Miller would get the lone Caps goal late in the second period, but it would be answered to make it 7-1 after two periods. Emma Honner would get a first period hat trick while Anniston Murray, Lucy Nelson, Ragyn Peska, Raegen Pfeifer, Halle Watson and Scarlett Black all had goals. Sioux Falls improved to 5-0 on the season.
The Caps will return home Saturday and Sunday hosting Watertown and Mitchell. Both games will be on Capital City Rock and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports.
