After weather made changes to the Sully Buttes Chargers girls basketball team Tuesday to open up their season, they will now open the season up Friday at home. It’s the first time in eight seasons Sully Buttes will not play Ipswich to begin the season. The Chargers will take on the Thunder from North Central on parents night.
It will be the 23rd meeting since 2006 where the series since that time has been one sided in favor of Sully Buttes. They have won the last 15 against North Central. The Thunder will look to get their first win against the Chargers since 2013.
Both teams will have their season opening games Friday and it will be their one and only contest against each other in the regular season. The Chargers will look to improve from their 8-12 finish last season while the Thunder will look to have another winning season after finishing 14-7.
