FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. City officials will give reports to the Council before the Council begins consideration of agenda items. A public hearing will be held on a temporary liquor license request for the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center for events on December 20th and 27th. Council members will then consider approval of those requests. Fort Pierre Tourism will give a budget presentation to the Council and first reading will be given to the Supplemental and Utility rate budgets and to an ordinance regarding changes to how Fort Pierre will conduct future elections due to new changes to state law. A resolution regarding a plat change will come before the Council tonight along with a 2025 electric license request. Approval of a mobile home court license is on the agenda along with the transfer of a mobile home court license and the Council will consider the hiring of a new administrative assistant. The Fort Pierre City Council meets at six-pm tonight. The meeting is open to the community.
