PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a short four-item consent calendar before getting into the main agenda. On the calendar are approval of claims, minutes from the November 18th meeting, a volunteer firefighter application and a raffle request for the American Legion train show. The Commission will consider approval a bid for 2026 Slurry Seal work and an agreement with AeroSimple for the Pierre Regional Airport. Commissioners will discuss renewable energy certificates from Missouri River Energy Services and give first reading to ordinance revisions regarding accessory buildings on a property. The Commission will also give introduction to a plat change in Huizenga Acres and will consider a request to purchase patrol vehicles for the Pierre Police Department. The meeting will end with Commissioners presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
