The Oahe Capitals girls varsity team is graduating just two seniors from last year’s team as they head into the season this weekend facing Mitchell and Aberdeen on the road.
While the Caps lose just two seniors, one being the starting goalie in Sophia Peschong and the other being one of the best goal scorers in Capitals history and state history in Brylee Kafka. However, because of an injury, the Caps were able to see Kylee Fromm see varsity playing time at the end of the season last year and with nearly every one else returning, the goal scoring can be spread out over several players. Oahe went 13-8 last year and finished in fourth place in the state tournament. Jim Wedin returns as head coach of the Caps and says this team has a wide range of great skill sets…
