The Pierre Governors would receive three players on this year’s ESD AA All-Conference team with two offensive players and a defensive player.
The Governors place one of three wide receivers on the team with Carter Schiefelbein making the team. Schiefelbein, heading into the 11AA state semifinal on Friday against Huron is just five catches and 160 yards from breaking the school record for receptions and yards in a single season. He currently has 59 catches for 1140 yards for 13 touchdowns. Tucker Otte joins Schiefelbein on the All-Conference team as an offensive lineman. Otte was hurt during the week eight game against Spearfish but was dominant through the first full seven games of the season. On defense, senior Ayden Behm is the lone Governor on the team. He is currently at 50 total tackles and has five interceptions on the season. Behm’s interceptions have come at crucial times for the Govs.
