FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Associated School Boards of South Dakota has recognized the Stanley County School Board for their efforts during the previous school year. The Stanley County School Board has earned a Gold Level award as a part of taking part in the A-S-B-S-D’s Board Recognition program named ALL. ALL stands for Act, Learn, Lead and honors school boards that strive to enhance their knowledge base for effectively serving students. Schools need 500 or more ALL points hit the Gold Level and Stanley County did just that. Points are earned through participation in A-S-B-S-D activities, training opportunities and the demonstration of leadership at the local, state and national level. This is the ninth year of the award and 82 public school boards took part in the ALL program, which is the second most in the history of the program. The A-S-B-S-D represents 850 statewide school board members and 147 schools they oversee.
