The season is on the line tonight as the Stanley County Lady Buffaloes will be on the road to face the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers in the first round of the Region 6A Tournament.
Stanley County comes in at 6-20 after being swept by Jones County last week Tuesday to end the regular season as the Buffs will be trying to get a big upset in terms of seeds against the second seeded Mobridge-Pollock Tigers. The Tigers stayed above .500 at 17-16 win a sweep of Sully Buttes last week finishing the regular season. The two teams met back on October 2nd in Fort Pierre and the Tigers would get a sweep of the Lady Buffs winning 25-20, 25-18 and 25-11. The Lady Buffs played tough through the first two sets, and even though they will be on the road tonight, Stanley County can have some confidence they can hang with the second best team in Region 6A. The winner of tonight’s game will meet the winner of the 3-6 contest with Platte-Geddes hosting Cheyenne-Eagle Butte. That matchup will be on Thursday and it will be for a spot in the SoDak 16.
First serve tonight from Mobridge is scheduled for 7:00.
