The Pierre Governor volleyball team is down to the final two games of the regular season still looking for just one more win to help secure a spot in the SoDak 16 in a couple of weeks.
The Governors are coming in at 3-15 on the season after being swept both Friday and Saturday to O’Gorman and Aberdeen Central and have lost five straight overall. Pierre is once again outside of the top 16 with just the two games remaining on the schedule. Brookings is coming in at 10-19 and in 14th. The Bobcats went 3-2 over the weekend of the East/West Invite beating Rapid City Central, Sturgis and Douglas, but losing to Stevens and Spearfish. The Bobcats are going to make the SoDak 16 but can still jump up the standings in the final three games with two teams below them in the standings. Pierre will face both teams under .500 with Jefferson the other opponent next week Tuesday.
