Seed point averages can change a lot over the course of the final night, but the Stanley County Buffaloes know they need to beat Gettysburg tonight to have a shot at the 9AA playoffs.
Depending on the outcomes of the games, Stanley County could move up, stay the same or even down depending on the outcome of the rest of the night, but if the Buffs want to make the playoffs, they must win over the winless Battlers this evening in Gettysburg. Stanley County is 2-5 on the season as they’ve lost three straight heading into the bye last Friday with both wins coming at home as the Buffs went 2-1 on the new turf this year. The Battlers will miss the playoffs but they can play spoiler against the Buffs. Gettysburg lost last Friday 46-6 to Timber Lake as the offense has struggled to score this season with three different times being shutout and having 14 points being the most they’ve scored in a game. Max Foth, head coach of Stanley County says you can see they are a young team, but still play very hard football..
Foth says they have to handle their business tonight and is not shying away from being honest with the players about it…
Foth says the win tonight will start by taking care of the football…
Kickoff tonight is at 7:00 in Gettysburg.
