The Harrisburg Tigers would sweep the Pierre Governors in Pierre on Tuesday as the nationally ranked Tigers would win 25-7, 25-12 and 25-12 to add on to its winning streak.
The Pierre Governors were looking to ride the momentum off their win against Lennox last Saturday but had the tough test Tuesday night when the 13th ranked team in the country as Harrisburg extended its winning streak to ten straight.
The Tigers were proving why they were a team getting to a quick 8-0 start in set one and would finish winning 25-7. The Lady Governors were taking advantage of errors making set two and three close to start before Harrisburg would win the next two 25-12. The Tigers would sweep in three sets to go to 21-2 on the season.
Pierre after being swept goes to 3-11 on the season and are in a four team race for the 16th and final spot for post-season. The Governors travel to Yankton in what could be considered the match to make the postseason. With both teams near each other in the standings. The match is Thursday October 16 at 6:30.
