The Pierre Governor cross country team would run at the Wildoak Golf Course on Saturday in Mitchell and Caleb Morris would get third for the boys and Emery Larson would get sixth for the girls.
The Governor boys team would place seventh overall with Daniel Mason picking up a 29th place finish while Camden Lamb, James Stolley and Tryton Parmely all would place at 51st, 58th and 59th. Shane Jones, Jett Kirschenmann, Asher Oxford and CJ Moses would all finish in the 60s to round out the Governors. Brandon Valley would take home the boys team title.
The Pierre girls would place fourth as a team as Gwen Richter would place 17th, Charlee Williams-Smith in 30th, Larissa Renemans 32nd, Elaina Rounds 33rd and Jaclyn Richter at 68th. Pierre scored a 112 while Harrisburg had a 31 to win the team title.
